Influences

The last few weeks have been very hectic. With relief I noticed that in recent days there was more space for thought and with that came new designs. There were several influences at work:

William Morris and William de Morgan tubelined tiles,

tubelined-enamelled-necklaces

Silver and enamel tubelined waterlily necklace

a spot of Gertrude Gekyll,

fuchsia-necklace

Silver fuchsia necklace

silver-farden-necklace

Tiny silver garden necklace

…and the swagger of John Wayne.

In the last week the littlest P has learnt to walk.

Get off your trike and drink your milk.

I just adore the look of grim determination. Hang on in there, Tiny P, you will be on Strictly before your Ma and Pa know what is happening.

Hi, what a lovely post! Congratulations on the first precious tottering steps little Miss P.

Have you beautifully smooth silky walls? I think you are definately a Toast lady………… I am visualising you in those lovely red felt slippers and rather yummy welsh blanket as we speak!

So weird about your sister! Is she sad to leave or ready to come home? I probably passed her in the street and didn’t even realise! Strange coincidences.

Lovely new pieces too, clever you,
    Sarah x

    Oh, go, go Little Pebble!

I’ve been thinking of you this week and wondering how you are. I’m hoping to make a flying bead visit to Haddenham this week or next - can I tempt you?

  17. Mrs Bun Says:

The Hare and Fuschia are fabulous designs. I like very much. Walking - a good phase in some ways not so good when they learn to run fast the opposite direction to you though.

Our last house was woodchip everywhere. We left one wall to punish the new owners as hideous stuff to remove. Pulled one lot away and the wall came with it so we could see the tree outside. Fun stuff.

I had to wait to view this on the laptop - bet there was a sound track too if only the speakers worked!

You go girl, Miss P2! She looks so excited :-)

Saw some lovely William de Morgan and William Morris designs in Birmingham - a fabulous museum.
